  • Send Sherer Dental Lab your preliminary impression or an unprepared study model.
  • We will analyze your treatment plan and following your Rx, construct a template, then prepare and/or extract the involved teeth on the model, and fabricate your custom QTemps.
  • After you receive your QTemps, prepare the natural teeth with standard C&B methods and take final impression.
  • Confirm seating of QTemps and adjust internal aspect if necessary.
  • Moisten internal surface of QTemps with monomer if using conventional acrylic or bonding agent if using one of the cartridge light-cured provisional materials.
  • Mix and place chairside acrylic resin or light-cured provisional material into QTemps and lubricate tooth preparations.
  • Seat QTemps onto tooth preparations - allowing acrylic to set to doughy stage or tacking light-cured material with light for 3-5 seconds.
  • Remove and trim bulk excess. Reseat and trim any remaining excess. Finalize cure with light if necessary.
  • Remove QTemps and polish if needed.
  • The relined QTemps can now be seated/cemented using conventional materials and methods.
