Procera AllCeram
The
Procera technique
utilizes the
latest in CAD-CAM
and ceramic
technology that
produces an
extremely strong
restoration
with consistent
fit, excellent
marginal adaptation,
superb esthetics,
and does not
require unique
clinical steps.
In the past,
the downside
of choosing
an all-ceramic
crown over porcelain
fused-to-metal
has been a loss
of strength
and the change
in techniques
required by
the dentist
and the laboratory.
One of the reasons
that many of
you have expressed
satisfaction
in the Procera
crowns is the
fact that the
higher strength
allows you to
seat them using
traditional
methods and
materials. The
bonding sequences
associated with
other all-ceramic
systems are
not necessary
with Procera.
You can use
whatever cement
you are presently
using with your
porcelain to
metal and full
cast restorations.
Besides
ease of use,
the other main
advantages to
Procera are
superior esthetics
and exceptional
strength. With
life-like translucency
these restorations
are very natural
looking yet
have enough
depth and chroma
to cover up
even the darkest
of preparations,
even an amalgam
core! The Procera
material is
a fully sintered
ceramic, which
means that there
is no part of
the glass that
isn't fused
within itself.
The result is
a ceramic that
is twice as
strong as any
of the previous
generation of
all-ceramic
systems.
