In 1970, we added a full service denture department and began sub-contracting with another laboratory for cast partial frames. In 1972 we opened our own cast partial department. By 1974 we needed more space and we moved into a 1600 square foot building to accommodate our full service lab of 12 employees. In May 1974, Joe Sherer purchased Ike's share of the lab and in December of 1977 the name was changed to Sherer Dental Laboratory, Inc. Our outstanding growth demanded more space and a 1600 square feet addition doubled our working space. In 1983, we purchased our leased building and land and added a full service Orthodontics department.

We have been blessed with an increase in total sales each year our lab has been in existence, and to accommodate our continued growth in December of 1987, we moved into our new addition of 6,800 square feet and remodeled the existing space for a brand new facility of 10,000 square feet with over 75 employees. As we grew, it became necessary to expand our facility once again. So in 1998 we added another 8,000 square feet to bring us to a total space of over 18,000 square feet, providing our 100 employees with production space, a large lunchroom and meeting facility and a new stockroom.

We have maintained continued growth and in 2003 we have 120 terrific employees and serve dental professionals in 39 states. We look forward to future growth and new relationships with our employees, clients and vendors.
